Gonghuha Increased Basic 3-Piece Set Review: 25 Years of KAIST Research Excellence
Today, I’m Duckat with a Increased basic 3-piece set of Gonghuha.
Gonghuha is a cosmetics brand
created by KAIST researchers
who have been researching
special saponin cosmetics for 25 years!
I tried the products myself
and found them to be so good
that I wanted to gift them to my mom,
and the formulation is not heavy enough
for me to use as a daughter.
Let’s start the review!
Gonghuha Increased ‘Basic 3-Piece Set’
Lee Chanwon Cosmetics Gonghuha Increased Foundation 3-Piece Set
(Skin Toner + Emulsion + Cream)
Price: ₩315,000 (~$230)
Premium Gift Package: Engraving & Exclusive Items
I received the Gonghuha Increased Foundation 3-piece set,
which is famous for Lee Chanwon (model of brand).
If you order the 3-piece foundation set,
you will receive an engraving event
on the product packaging,
a photo card and autographed postcard from Lee Chanwon,
and free gifts worth over ₩250,000.
I asked for my English name to be engraved,
and I thought my mom would like it better
if it was engraved with her name.
I was able to get a photo card,
a handwritten postcard, and some extra goodies!
Now, let me introduce you to Gonghuha!
BTGIN: 25 Years of KAIST Research & Innovation
BTGIN is a beauty brand of Gonghuha,
which has been intensively researching
special saponins with KAIST researchers for 25 years
BTGIN is a company that has its own production facility
and conducts the entire process
from extracting high-purity raw materials
to formulation development and quality testing
BTGIN is a longevity brand
that has accumulated experience
in cosmetics, health functional products,
and joint healthcare,
and is presenting differentiated products
in the skincare market!
I received the 3-piece Increased Basic Set,
which includes a skin toner, emulsion, and cream.
The packaging of the products is very classy,
and if you buy them as a set,
they’re perfect for gifting.
Special Saponin Complex: Collagen & Elastin Boost
The three Gonghuha Increased Basics
are formulated with a special saponin complex,
which works to boost collagen and elastin synthesis and boost skin immunity,
making them perfect for skin
that has begun to lose elasticity.
Let’s go through them one by one
to show you how they work
and how they’re formulated!
Skin Toner: Hydrating Gel with One-Hand Convenience
Gonghuha Enriched Moisture Skin Toner
Volume: 130ml
It’s a hydrating gel type skin toner and the best thing about it
is that it’s so easy to pump with one hand!
The container is angled so it doesn’t slide around
and the matte surface makes it easy
to apply the product with one hand.
When you apply it, it feels so moisturizing
and refreshing without being greasy.
The formulation is really luxurious,
not too moisturizing, not too greasy,
just full of moisture and refreshing.
Emulsion: Air-Free Formula for Perfect Balance
Air-Free Enriched Moisture Emulsion
Volume: 130ml
I tried the emulsion right after the skin toner
and it was also smooth
and easy to pump with one hand!
I don’t apply emulsion very often
because it has an oily finish rather than moisturizing,
but the Gonghuha emulsion is soft and refreshing,
and the moisturizer has a tight finish,
so it’s not burdensome at all.
Cream: Creamy Nutrition Without Heaviness
Gonghuha Increased Nutrition Cream
Capacity: 50g
A creamy nourishing cream with a very creamy texture!
It goes on smoothly and densely
without being too thick or buttery.
It absorbs smoothly into my skin
without feeling cakey or greasy,
and the finish is not cakey or greasy.
All three of the Increased foundations
have a moisturizing yet refreshing formula
that is neither too light nor too heavy,
making them perfect for daily use.
Let’s Try Them on My Face!
First, I applied the skin toner!
It’s a gel, so I was able to squeeze and roll it evenly on my face,
and it left my skin feeling dewy and moisturized.
Next up: emulsions!
The emulsion doesn’t have that greasy,
slippery finish that I hate,
and it’s a nourishing but refreshing formula
that leaves a non-greasy finish.
Next, they finished it off with a cream,
and you can feel the smooth and chewy texture of the cream,
and when you apply it all,
you can feel such a full and quick moisturizing and hydrating glow.
Why Expensive Cosmetics Are Worth It
After using the 3 Gonghuha Increased Foundation,
I can see why there is no such thing as cheap cosmetics!
The expensive products definitely have
different formulations and functions
that make them worth the price.
Also, since the main ingredient
is extracted from red ginseng,
I thought it would smell like red ginseng,
but it’s not like that at all,
it’s a natural and luxurious scent,
and it’s not irritating, so it’s even better.
Personally, it was a perfect gift for my mom,
but I think it’s a cosmetic
that can be easily gifted to anyone
because it’s a good formulation
that I can use together.
