Benefit the PORE-fessional : (1)Original & (2)Matte Primer

benefit the Pore Professional Review

Today I’m reviewing two of my favorite pore primers,
the Original and the Matte,
from my favorite brand,
benefit The PORE fessional line!

I think many of you know that benefit pore primer is very famous,
and I’ve tried various pore primer products,
but it’s benefit that I keep coming back to!

I’ve only used the original.
This time I was able to try the original and matte.
I’m bringing you a thorough review.
Let’s start the review! 😍

benefit The PORE fessional original!
Best-selling primer, selling one every 20 seconds*

* Based on global sales of the benefit brand in the The PORE fessional Primer category from 2022 to 2024.

This lightweight balm with a silky texture covers large pores and unevenness
for a dewy, smooth complexion
Improves oil control and fixation for better makeup hold.

I’ve only used the original, so I was curious about the matte,
which is a silky finish primer with a moisturizing lotion texture
that glides on smoothly and comfortably.

It contains mineral powder,
A little goes a long way for smooth, flawless pore coverage.

It’s smudge-proof, sweat-proof, and non-comedogenic!

I love the pink and blue color combination,
and the bubbly design that makes it stand out!

It’s perfect for those who have excessive oiliness and shine
that makes their makeup run off quickly,
They can apply it all over their face.

Original vs Matte Comparison

Texture of benefit Forever PORE fessional Primer

Let’s take a look at each of the texture!

The matte is an opaque white, not very viscous lotion texture,
and the original is a beige, fluffy, soft balm with a creamy texture.

The original is recommended for those with large pores and unevenness,
and the matte is recommended for those with excessive shine and oiliness
that can cause makeup to run off quickly.

Let’s take a look at each one!

benefit The PORE fessional Primer Original

First, I’ll try it on the crease of my palm to show you the texture in detail.

The key is to use a small amount,
about half the size of your pinky nail!

Simply roll the product around your fingers in a circle on areas with large pores.

The texture is soft and fluffy, so it quickly becomes silky when applied.

I can see the big wrinkles that I used to notice are smoothed out
as if they were softly blurred!’

Next, we’ll apply the matte type

Use a small amount of the matte, about the size of your pinky fingernail,
and apply a thin layer to areas of excess oil and texture, or all over your face.

It’s characterized by a tacky texture when applied and a silky finish when absorbed into the skin.

I can see the wrinkle-filling effect right away,
but it still feels a bit thicker than the original and seems to be more resistant to oiliness.

Applying each on Face

Now, let’s try it on my face!

benefit The PORE fessional Primer Original

I applied the original right after foundation.
Before I applied it, my skin was definitely oily and I could see the imperfections and pores,
but after applying the primer,
I could immediately see the imperfections were filled in and the skin was smoother.

benefit The PORE fessional Primer Matte

I also tried the matte type,
This definitely feels more oil-cutting than the original
It makes my skin feel dewy.

let me show you the comparison
between applying the cushion with a primer and applying the cushion without a primer.

This is without primer, just cushioning, and you can definitely see the butterfly zone irregularities are more visible, right?

I used the cushion after applying The Pore PORE fessional Primer matte and original,
and I intentionally used the same cushion
I could see that the unevenness of the butterfly zone was smoothed out.

It was less makeup and covered the pores and unevenness,
once you use benefit primer, you can’t change it to others.

I’d like to end this post by recommending benefit primer to those
who have pores, unevenness, and shine that are not covered by foundation and cushion 😎
