Hello, I’m ‘cosmobonia’!
I’ve tried many moisturizers that claim to be good for sensitive skin,
but I wasn’t satisfied.
But I finally found a good one.
Today I’m going to introduce you to
the Avène Xeracalm Nutrition Lotion!
Brand credibility:
Avène is a renowned French brand specializing in sensitivities.
Its Xeracalm line in particular specializes in moisturizing and soothing.
The Xeracalm Nutrition Lotion features:
Ingredients such as I-modulia®,
a key ingredient in the Xeracalm line,
and Avène thermal water
help soothe the skin, relieve itching,
and strengthen the skin barrier.
The word “nutrition” refers to
the feeling of nourishing the skin beyond just moisturizing it,
filling it from the inside out.
Hypoallergenic formula:
Made with mild ingredients
that even sensitive skin can use with confidence.
This lotion is especially recommended for those who suffer from:
• Severe dryness
• Quick drying
• Skin that is easily sensitive to external stimuli
• Dry skin with itching
Formulation and Application:
It feels moisturizing upon application and absorbs quickly,
but doesn’t dry out easily.
It’s a lotion formulation, not too heavy like I expected.
It spreads smoothly
(both moisture and oiliness are appropriate).
Absorbency:
It feels like it absorbs into the skin the moment you apply it.
It’s a strange formulation
that leaves a fresh finish without feeling greasy or sticky,
but moisturizes the inside.
Immediately after product application (left) and during application (right)
Immediate effect:
Upon application, skin feels relieved of pulling and relaxed.
If itching is present, it feels soothed.
Lasting effect:
Skin remains moisturized without dryness
even after 4-5 hours.
After 1 month of use:
Skin texture is a little softer,
and quick drying has improved.
Pros:
• Extreme moisturizing + quick drying solution
• Excellent soothing effect (relieves itching)
• Mild ingredients that can be used safely even on sensitive skin
• Non-greasy finish
• Strengthens skin barrier
Cons:
• Slight baby powder scent
(this may be an advantage as everyone’s taste is different)
• Not recommended for oily skin as it is oily
This was a great lotion for my dehydrated, oily skin.
I didn’t feel the need for a cream when applying this lotion.
If you suffer from sensitive skin like me,
you should definitely give Avène Xeracalm Nutrition Lotion a try!
I hope this review will be helpful to many people!
